Le Manoir eh . Sounds like “retirement ” is good. Hope all the good food and drink results in a new book. Or maybe some telly hmmmmmmmmmmmm since there where TV people there.

The Kobo is also widely used in Canada.
Kindle is more UK / US from what I understand.

Sorry one more thing since the measles are all over the news. Depending on the chemo it’s like you’ve not had any vaccinations at all……

I’m sorry to hear about your brother. Chemo really is horrible. I lost my nails and toenails as well. He can try surgical tape to protect his fingers when that happens. And socks have to be cotton.
When he get that white fungus thing in mouth / nose, tell him to eat (no sugar) white jogurt, It goes down without coming up, mostly. I finished radiotherapy last month which went ok.
It’s a loooooong trip, and a pretty depressing one. But here’s a TOAST to beating cancer! ( And my hair is starting to grow back now )

Massive respect to C/Sgt Broome and all the other lads involved. As he said, he’s only human yet he was suddenly thrust into an inhuman situation and performed better than could be expected of any man. All the best to the lot of them.

A powerful piece – after reading I am unsure exactly how I feel except a deep respect for what we ask people to do in ‘our names’ and how the effects of those actions live with them and their families long afterwards. I marched against the Iraq War but i am deeply proud of the UK forces.
